Right-click the Windows >> New >> key.

Name the new key WindowsUpdate and press Enter.
Again right-click the newly created key (WindowsUpdate), select the New and choose the Key.

Set the new key’s name AU and press Enter.
Right-click the AU key, select New, and click on DWORD (32-bit) Value option.

Name the new DWORD NoAutoUpdate and press Enter.
Double click on NoAutoUpdate and change its value from 0 to 1. Then click “OK” to apply the change.

Close Registry Editor and restart your computer.
Performing this action will permanently disable Windows automatic updates.
