There you find the policy “Turn off Windows Defender Antivirus”. Double-click on Turn off Microsoft Defender Antivirus policy.
Select the Enabled option and click ok to save the change.
Once you complete the steps, restart your computer. This step will permanently disable windows defender in Windows 10. But the “shield” icon will still be visible in the taskbar.
