What do You Need to Create a Blog on WordPress
You will need the following two things to create a website on WordPress.
- Domain name – This is the name of your website, User will enter your domain name in browsers to visit your site (like JustBrightMe.com).
- Web Hosting – Need to host all the websites on the internet, which requires hosting. All your files are stored here.

How to Move Your Blog From Blogger to WordPress?
Migrating from Blogger to WordPress is not a difficult task. You can easily transfer your Blogger Blog to WordPress by following this article. If you have not yet created your blog on WordPress, Here is a guide on How to Create a Blog on WordPress
Step1: Export Blogger Blog
To export your Blogger blog, first, log in to Blogger.com. After this go to Settings >> Manage blog. Here click on Back up content option.

A popup box will open. Just click on the Download button.

Step 2: Import File from Blogger to WordPress
After downloading the export file, you will have to import this file into your WordPress blog.
Login to WordPress Blog Then click on Tool >> Import option. Here, click on Install Now that appears below the Blogger option. Then click Run Importer.

In the next step, select the file that you downloaded from the Blogger blog in the first step. After selecting the file, click the Upload file and import button.

After the file is imported, it will ask you whether you want to create a new user for the post or import the content along with the existing user. It depends on you what you want to do.

Step 3: Setup Permalinks in WordPress
Congratulation! All your content has migrated to WordPress. But there is still some setup like Permalink structure and redirection.
First of all, we will set up the permalink structure. It is the URL of the page and post in your blog.
Blogger uses Month and name for permalinks and it looks something like this:
https://example.com/2019/05/post-title.html
So when you migrate your blog from Blogger to WordPress, it is very important to keep the same URL. But do not worry, in the WordPress permalink section you can also choose the Blogger URL formate and it is very important.
Just click on Settings >> Permalinks and select Month and name format. As you can see in the screenshot below.

After saving, select Custom structure again and add .html to the last of your custom structure URL.

This URL format looks like Blogger and it is very important for proper redirection. It will be like this,
https://justbrightme.000webhostapp.com/%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%.html
Redirecting Blogger Posts
After migrating the blog to WordPress you will need to set up redirection for your Blogger blog. So that Blogger’s visitors can be redirected to WordPress and your site ranking is also not affected.
Go to your WordPress site. Then click on Plugins >> Add New and install the WP 404 Auto Redirect to Similar Post plugin.
After activating the plugin, click Settings >> WP 404 Auto Redirect. This will take you to the settings page of the plugin.

Its default settings work perfectly for most websites. You can leave its settings default.
In the Post Type tab, just Exclude Media.

In the Taxonomy tab, check the Disable Taxonomy Redirection box. Then click on the Save Settings button.

Now your site will redirect to the same post.
Step 5: Redirecting Blogger Feed
Visitors who subscribe to the feed of your Blogger blog, to keep them updated with their new posts, you also need to redirect your Blogger feed.
First, log in to Blogger. Then go to the Settings >> Site feed section. Here you will see an option Post feed redirect URL, in this, you have to enter your WordPress feed URL.

After entering the feed URL of your WordPress site, click on save button.
