If your site is new, it takes some time to get your site listed in search results. This happens automatically over days or weeks, but you can manually submit your site to Google and speed up the process.
If you want to know the fastest way to submit your website to search engines, then you’re in the right place… This article will tell you how to get website on Google Instantly.
Need to Submit Website to Search Engines?
Here are three reasons why it’s important:
This ensures that your site exists – Google is able to find your website, even if you do not submit it. But it takes time for search engines to discover (and index) new websites. Submitting your site to Google manually guarantees: Search engines know that your site exists.
It makes your site better – Google gives you a tool that helps improve your site: Google Search Console
- Check site’s load speed
- Find 404 pages
- Submit XML sitemap for your site
- Check your robots.txt file for errors
- See a list of keywords you’re currently ranking for
- Security Issue
- And much more
Search engines figure out everything – Google does not immediately crawl and index new or updated content. You can tell what important and needs to crawl by submitting individual URLs.
How to Submit Your Website to Google
Before submitting the website to Google, you must add your site to Google Search Console. It is created by Google which tracks website performance (how your site is performing in Google). You can get valuable information of your website like crawl errors, ranking keywords, impressions and more.
If you want to use Google Search Console, you need to create an account. After creating, click on ‘Add Property‘. You can see screenshot below.

Next, enter your domain name. Then click on the Continue button.

Now, you have to verify your website that you own it. This will give you 5 methods to verify ownership. But here I will verify with HTML tag. Just copy the code and paste it into the <head> section of your site.
If you are a WordPress user and use the Yoast SEO plugin, go to the Webmaster tools (SEO >> General> Webmaster Tools) section of Yoast SEO and paste the copied code.

After saving it, return to Google Search Console and click on the ‘Verify‘ button. You will receive a Success message.
But if you do not use Yoast SEO on your site, you can paste the HTML tag into the <head> section of your site.
For this, you can use the Insert Headers and Footers plugin. Click on Settings >> Insert Headers and Footers and paste your code in the ‘Scripts in Header‘ box.

Next, submit your website by adding your sitemap to the search console. But first, you have to create a sitemap.
Submit a Sitemap
Sitemap is a file containing the URLs of your website. It helps the search engine better crawl and index your website and understands your website structure easily.
If you haven’t yet created a sitemap, create one now…
Using Yoast SEO Plugin
Yoast is a very popular WordPress SEO plugin that provides many features including creating XML sitemaps.
First, navigate to General >> Features >> XML Sitemaps >> ?. You can see in the screenshot below.

This will redirect you to the XML Sitemap page. And it will look like:

Copy the URL from the address bar of your browser.
https://example.com/sitemap_index.xml
Using Google XML Sitemaps
If you are not using Yoast SEO on your site, do not worry.
Just install and activate the Google XML Sitemaps plugin then click on Settings >> XML-Sitemap. Its default settings work perfectly for most sites. But if you like, you can customize it.

Your Sitemap is ready and will look like this.

Now, we have a sitemap. Let’s submit it to Google Search Console.
On the Google Search Console dashboard, in the left column, click on the ‘Sitemaps’ option, then paste the last part of the URL (sitemap_index.xml) and click on the Submit button.

If you have multiple sitemaps just repeat this process.
Perform URL Inspection for Specific URL of Your Website
The URL inspection tool allows you to check the specific URL of your website: how Google sees that URL and provides information about the detailed crawl, index, AMP error, last crawl date, etc.
After publishing your articles, don’t forget for URL inspection. If it shows that your URL is not in Google, click on Request Indexing. Google bots will crawl your article instantly and your article will be indexed in Google in a few seconds.

Whenever you publish new content on your site or blog, run URL inspection and then click on Request Indexing. This helps to get your website indexed fast in Google search.
Make habits of Internal Linking
Internal linking (linking to pages on your own website) is another great way to get indexed your URL in Google quickly.
Internal linking makes your content more useful to visitors. Plus Google considers your content as quality content and provides a better rank in the search result.
Share Your Site Everywhere
Share your site as much as you can. Create an account (for your site) on each social networking site and put your website link in the profile bio.
This method helps your site get indexed quickly in Google search as well as get quality backlinks.
How to Check If Your Website is Indexed
You are not sure if your website is indexed in Google or not, do not worry. You can check it easily. Just type site: yourdomain.com in Google search.
This will show the index URL of your site.

Apart from this, you can also check in Google Search Console. Go to the Coverage >> Valid tab.

This shows you the number of pages on your site that Google has indexed.
You can also see what these pages are by clicking the “Submitted and indexed” or “Indexed, not submitted in sitemap” links.
